Opportunity

We are seeking a a Rust Developer with knowledge of Solana and NFT Tokens. This role will have the primary accountability of designing, implementing, and operating a Solana smart contract using Rust. Solana/Rust smart contract/program development experience is a necessity for this position.

This position is for a full time project expected to last 6-12 weeks or longer. This is a remote full-time position with an expected workload of up to 40 hours a week while production is active on the project. More project details can be provided in the interview. Applicants must be able to attend daily standup and work at least 4 hours of overlap with the studio’s 9am to 5pm pacific time schedule.​

Essential Functions

• Coordinating with developers and development teams from leading NFT platforms to deploy smart contracts on platform and stand alone drop pages.
• Leading the development of smart contracts and the performance of blockchain integration with existing applications, platforms, and wallet interaction.
• Benchmark performance, identify performance bottlenecks, and find ways to resolve them
• Establishing and maintaining the environments in which blockchain solutions can be implemented, including development, testing, and production environments.
• Maintain a continuous integration pipeline for the development and testing of applications.
• Collaborate effectively with other staff to solve complex problems
• Attend daily standup meetings

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as an individual contributor with Rust or Solana protocol experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Go, Rust, and Node/Typescript
• Experience building and deploying scalable, secure, and performant systems to production
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Great time management and deadline-driven

Work Environment

Robot Sea Monster is a fully remote company with team members across the globe. We expect you to provide appropriate computer, peripherals, and software needed for this position, in addition to high-speed internet, mic, and camera required for video conferencing and voice calls. Robot Sea Monster will provide access to all team systems and any proprietary software or hardware required for a project.

You will need to be available via Google Meet, Slack, and email during designated work hours. Additional hours may be required when we need to meet project deadlines and for periodic client meetings. Hours will fluctuate based upon number of projects, project scale, and project timelines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
